EDF welcomed after his victory over electricity prices

The wholesale price of nuclear electricity EDF sells its competitors will be set at 40 euros per megawatt hour from 1 July 2011, then rise to 42 euros from 1 January 2012, on Tuesday said Eric Besson, Minister of Industry and Energy.
As part of the reform of the French electricity market (Act Nome), previously threatened to delay fault arbitration policy, EDF requested that starting price is set at 42 euros and it evolves gradually toward 45 to 46 euros per megawatt hour, while its rivals, including GDF Suez, called for maintaining the existing traffic that is 35 euros.
In exchange, the new acts of victory for the electrician and is hailed as required by investors. The title EDF climbed 3.85% to 27.66 euros at the closing, signing one of the largest increases of ACC 40.
However, EDF's competitors have long faces. GDF Suez ended the day at the balance while the alternative power producer Poweo squarely fall of 4.6%. In fact, the bill for those competitors who buy their electricity mostly to EDF is likely to rise.

The government, which could announce the decision soon on Tuesday, provides a virtual freeze on electricity prices (and gas) by the presidential election of May 2012 to avoid discontent. It will be difficult to please everyone.
Asked on Europe 1, Eric Besson has confirmed that gas prices will rise about him "not before 1 July 2012", added the minister.
He also announced that the nuclear safety authority was auditioning Thursday "for the first time EDF to ask what conclusions he draws from the very serious accident in Fukushima," Japan.
